2023 Teens Dream- Accessible Healthcare

I believe that healthcare is a right that every human deserves to have. My dream is to create a solution that allows everyone to get emergency care quickly and easily. I have developed a concept of a medical app that can provide resources in emergency health situations. This follows the UN’s 3rd sustainability goal of good health and well-being, ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all ages. This app can provide the first steps to let you know the severity of the situation and possible things you can do on the way to a hospital, designed for people in rural areas with slow access to care. If medical care is unnecessary, it provides treatments you can try at home to help your situation. I have implemented this idea by creating an interactive app. It helps identify symptoms through voice-automated AI and image classification, notify, call, or automatically send your location to contacts or authorities in case of an emergency, find a hospital, and find treatments for the diagnosis. It could also be implemented into a kiosk for low-income neighborhoods or mobile vehicles, such as mobile health centers. With healthcare being inaccessible, so many people’s lives are impacted dangerously. This is why creating a more equitable and efficient system is so important. I hope to expand the app to improve healthcare accessibility and change the world.
