Teen's Dream

I dream of a world where Gender Sports is a powerful global sport, breaking through the deep-rooted inequalities in our cultures, and fostering an environment where both boys and girls share the same playing field. In this dream, sports becomes a catalyst for change, dismantling societal norms that marginalize women and girls. It is a world where every individual, regardless of gender, collaborates and supports one another in achieving their life’s goals.

Gender Sports aligns with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including;

SDG 5: Gender Equality: Gender Sports directly addresses the need for gender equality by challenging unequal power relations and promoting collaboration between boys and girls. It aims to break down societal barriers that contribute to the marginalization of women and girls.

SDG 4: Quality Education: Through participation in Gender Sports, boys and girls have the opportunity to learn important life skills such as teamwork, respect, and mutual support. This contributes to a more inclusive and quality education system that prepares individuals for diverse life challenges.

SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities: The focus on dismantling deep-rooted gender inequalities in African cultures aligns with the broader objective of reducing inequalities within and among countries.

SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being: Engagement in sports promotes physical and mental well-being. Gender Sports can contribute to a healthier society by encouraging both genders to actively participate in physical activities, fostering a sense of well-being.

SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions: By challenging existing power relations and promoting collaboration, Gender Sports contributes to building a more just and peaceful society. It encourages the creation of inclusive institutions that value and respect the contributions of all individuals, regardless of gender.
