2025 Teens Dream- Energy for All
My name is Mohammad and my dream is to make sure that in our modern society, all people have access to energy. This goal is addressing SDG #7: Affordable and Clean Energy for All. In many countries around the world, many people do not have access to electricity or energy for that matter. In some homes, families cannot access light due to the fact they do not have running electricity. In our 21st century, electricity has become a necessity for all to have alongside required resources. We, residents of America, take our electricity for granted since we don’t usually think about having outages or less power. But in my home country of Bangladesh, we see major outages of power or the instance of many people not being able to afford it. With my ideas, I hope that this message is heard.
To combat the energy crisis, my initiative ENERGY FOR ALL, would first of all survey different populations regarding lack of energy resources. Secondly, we insert renewable resources that include 1.solar energy, 2. wind power. 3. Garbage composting. 4. Bike generator. After the said energy is generated, we divide different breaking out puts that split one source of energy into different homes for cost effectiveness. For example, a solar panel that generates 100 watts of energy can be split into 5 homes where each receives 20 watts each. With these methods, accessing electricity should be very cheap or free with private company collaborations. To deal with power outages, I would build a system of restrictors that build tolerance to high power levels and do not create surges of energy. The bike system will mobilize energy for a generator. Many people on the rural side of Bangladesh, cannot afford electricity due to the high costs. ENERGY FOR ALL allows them to generate electricity with supplies that can be sourced locally.
The mechanisms would be easy to handle, where a few instructions can guide local communities on how to work the processes. The townspeople themselves manage and tend to the needs required, so it is a cheaper effort overall. With my program, ENERGY FOR ALL, I envision having clean energy in all homes in Bangladesh.
