2025 Teens Dream - Climate Action through Accessible Information

My dream is to achieve the United Nations sustainable development goal of Climate Action through creating systems that allow environmental action informations to become more accessible. Despite our growing knowledge of how pressing the climate crisis is, it’s very difficult to take the necessary action because it can often be overwhelming or simply impossible to know where to start. To combat this, I built a Congressionally-honored app, EcoTakeOut, that removes this information barrier for ordering takeout, a process that produces significant waste. I then grew this idea with EcoInnovators, in which I empowered the students in my community to understand how to apply their own skills to help end this crisis. Through these efforts, I’ve had over 200 downloads as well as ~300 student members across our 6 chapter schools. While these numbers represent an important start, my dream is for these barriers to be broken for everyone across the world.
