Teen's Dream

For centuries, throughout art history, the contributions of female artists have been consistently forgotten and ignored. While the marginalization of women in the past cannot be undone, learning about it can help us create conditions to achieve a more equitable future for the art world. My dream is to bring recognition to female artists and reduce gender inequality in the art world. This relates to SDG 5: Gender Equality. My solution is to educate others to take action and spread the word to decrease inequality. I have already written and presented this topic to my school, used social media, and shared the project with the National Museum of Women in the Arts in DC. My next step is to present it in other schools and utilize online platforms to further raise awareness and harness support for a change. My final step is to contact more museums to advocate for equitable representation of female artists. As an artist myself, I recognize the importance of gender equality, not just in the art world, but across all fields. With my innovative solution, I aim to change the way people view female artists, giving them the right place they deserve in our society.
