2026 Teens Dream - Sebastião

My dream is to make restoring forests as scalable and reliable as destroying them has become.

Across southern Europe and many parts of the world, wildfires and land degradation are accelerating, but restoration is still slow, manual, and often impossible on steep or burned terrain. Too many forests are left to chance. Either we hope they regenerate on their own or we plant a few trees only where it is easiest to reach.

With Trovador, my dream is to change that. We are building autonomous robots that can move where humans and machines cannot, planting native trees precisely where ecosystems need them most. Not in straight lines or for appearances, but in patterns that help forests recover, reduce erosion, store carbon, and become resilient to future fires.

This directly supports SDG 15 Life on Land by restoring degraded ecosystems and protecting biodiversity, and SDG 13 Climate Action by turning restoration into a real, scalable climate solution. More than planting trees, my dream is to give forests a second chance after fire and to prove that robotics and AI can help nature recover faster, smarter, and at the scale the planet now demands.
