Teen's Dream

My dream is to work in healthcare but I also want to go beyond just hospitals and clinics and reach people who are often overlooked. I want to serve the under-served communities where access to basic health resources like hygiene products are limited. To me, health isn’t just about treating illness, it’s about making sure people have the tools to stay well in the first place.

This connects strongly to UN Sustainable Development Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production. In my video, I focused on the over-consumption of hygiene and self-care products. While many people are influenced to constantly buy new, trendy items, others struggle to afford basic essentials like soap, menstrual products, or even just clean water. This imbalance shows how irresponsible consumption can contribute to both waste and inequality. As a future healthcare worker, I want to shift the focus from excess to equity by encouraging smarter use of products, reducing waste, and supporting systems that redistribute unused essentials to those in need. From my point of view, promoting responsible consumption isn’t just about the environment but also about fair access to basic necessities.
