2026 Teens Dream - Responsible Compost

My dream is to incorporate structure and knowledge to bring sustainable compost systems to my community. I plan to start with local schools and add more compost bins. The waste from these bins can help support school gardens. On a greater level, they can also improve the growth of local produce, supporting local cycles of production and consumption. During this time, I would also like to make use of social media to both teach my friends and neighbors how they can compost and promote awareness for responsible disposal. Ultimately, I hope for my dream to strengthen the cycles of reduce, reuse, recycle…and compost!
