2026 Teens Dream – Climate Action Starts with Us
My biggest dream is to start a youth-led environmental movement in Peru to finally change the various negative effects on our environment. I deeply believe that change begins when people feel part of the solution and understand that their daily actions have an impact.
This dream is related to Sustainable Development Goal 13: Climate Action, because it seeks to raise awareness and promote action against climate change through education, responsibility, and youth engagement. In my community, both at school and in my neighborhood, I’ve seen how many teenagers and young adults want to help the planet, even though they don’t always know how or feel their efforts aren’t enough. I want to show that every small action counts when done collectively. I started this change with my first step at my school, helping more than 1,000 elementary and high school students become aware of this issue, fostering an understanding of water conservation and environmental protection. Thanks to this wonderful experience, I understood that together we can change the world. So ,y goal is to empower young people to lead sustainable initiatives in their communities, promote responsible habits, and use their voice to inspire others.
I strongly believe in a generation that transforms concern into action and indifference into commitment. The future of the planet is in our hands. The question is: are we going to observe change, or are we going to be the ones who make it happen? We can reach it together.
