My dream is to stop the maltreatment of female military soldiers in the U.S., by providing a new program of female task force advocates titled, The Lavina – Vanessa Project. Cases of Lavena Johnson and Vanessa Guillen have revealed the negligence and prejudice that is close-mouthed in the military community, but the inconsequences soldiers report will yield to.   It is unsettling that the same people who take their time to serve this country are the ones who feel violated by it.  How would you feel if you were violated physically and mentally if you are forced in this cage, where your words and remarks are disregarded as insignificant. Our female military service is being taken advantage of, but they are forced to be silent and submissive.  In total, there were 7,825 reports of sexual assault in all branches of the military in 2019.  Unfortunately, the majority of these reports are not provided a process to justice.

The first step for the solution is honest communication.  We need to impel an environment where female military soldiers don’t feel coerced and silenced. By openly ventilating their problems they can’t speak without encountering apathy, where they feel they matter and their safety matters, and where they are not victimized.  The second step is creating a community void of submission and insensitivity.  This program will support these victims; to be consoled and alleviated with the support of past military soldiers who can understand their stress, and can inspire them to navigate through that. Thirdly the victims can rehearse methods and approaches that will help them pass through their mental exile and solitude, and be more open and honest in order to seek justice and hold oppressors accountable. There will be no withdrawal and no reclusion, physically or mentally.  The Lavina -Vanessa Project is the solution, a source of empathy, understanding, love, peace, and assurance that the experience of the military is equitable.
