Think, Reflect, and Act to Save Our Planet

My dream is to help people get information about climate change; in this era, misinformation is one of our main problems when educating people. Many would do more actions to save our planet by seeing how many animals are suffering, how we are destroying our only place to live. I want to show people how we are contributing to this problem. People need to know that many of our daily actions are provoking more unnecessary damage to our planet. Sometimes we need a little push to fulfill something, a little help to have no excuses. That is why, in my dream, I want to give people the information to know about the topic, to question themselves about their daily routine, and finally help them set solutions to accomplish their environmental goals via an informative social media account. The relation between Optimistic planet, the SDG 13(Climate change and its impacts), and my project are that I think people should not be pessimistic about the number of things we should do to reduce our impact and instead try to achieve small changes little by little, in my project I will propose easy steps based on the color of a traffic light: red to inform about the topic, yellow to reconsider our daily action against the environment, by taking into consideration other people’s habits and their consumerism way of living if so, and finally green for possible actions to be taken to reduce our effect on the planet. By doing this, people are going to be informed about a variety of topics concerning climate change, know that their routine may not be correct, and can choose practices to correct it entertainingly. Also, as social media has popularized in our society, creating an informative social media account is a useful way to catch people’s attention through a topic not so noticed but in a place where people will be interacting more. Implementing all these three will attract people who may not want to search for these pieces of information separately. In my project, I focus on giving the possibility of having a wide range of actions to help the environment. With the money given in the prize, I plan to make more appealing content to attract more people and have a way to schedule the content I post so that people will have a more organized and engaging context, and I do not need to publish them daily. This will also be discussed with a mentor(if possible to have) for him/her to give me the best advice.
