2022 Teens Dream - Plastic Recycling

Burning of plastic waste has been a habit in my community. Plastic waste have been an environmental threat in my community and Nigeria generates over 32 million tons of waste, plastic are none bio-degradable.

• My dream is to cultivate the culture of proper waste management by using the model of incentive-based collection in various communities.
• My dream is to also recycle plastic waste into eco-friendly products which is affordable building materials like interlocking blocks, floor tiles and roof tiles. Generating revenue, creating employment for community women and sanitizing the environment in the process.

My dream relates to SDG 13 which is to recycle paper, glass, plastic, metal and old electronics.
